Jinenco (Ubiq) Satin Pack

The Ubiq, or should I say Jinenco, eLs are probably one of my favorite models out right now. These are set to be released on Sept 8 in Japan. Not really sure when they'll be stateside though. And I wonder if the reasoning behind the name change had anything to do with these guys.

Just caught this over at Hypebeast. Nike has really been putting in work on the viral video side with this, Kobe jumping over cars and the Hyperdunk Victim commercials.

WHAT DID THE 5 FINGERS SAY TO THE FACE??!!!!

Giving to CASA for those in the struggle

My home girl Vanessa Vega has been holding it down in Costa Rica the past few months working on an organic plantation every day planting vegetables, herb gardens, and even coffee which I'm dying to try!

Hudson County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is an independent, non-profit organization committed to advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA works through trained community volunteers to ensure that needed services and assistance are made available to children while helping to move them toward safe and permanent homes.

Her and her boyfriend Jeff have been experimenting with tinctures of oregano (from the farm), kombucha tea fermentations, lemongrass bug repellents (we grow and cultivate it onthe farm, as well!), red pepper relishes and jams. They recently discovered some really nice tasting yams on the property too, which they have replanted and are trying to propogate. If you have ever dug up a yam or a potato you have ever dug up a yam or a potato. You can appreciate how HARD they are to get! I mean, you will rethink the wonder of hash browns. You will come to love mashed potatoes in a way you never thought possible. And moreover, you will thank the people or machines that clean them...too. They come out of the ground as the dirtiest little roots you can imagine like tiny, wrinkly and hard. Vanessa said that they have to soak them and scrub them several times before they can actually eat them. But when they do...its strictly bliss.

Please take some time to check out her site - Firstgiving which is a fund raising site that allows her to collect secure online donations for her chosen cause which is raising awareness and helping out abused and neglected children who fall under the NJ welfare system.

R.I.P. Tuong Bao Phan

You will be missed dearly my brother.

This day is dedicated to you for putting a voice in our community and leading me the path to breakdown stereotypes and negativity that has been breaking down and separating our own communities. If I did not meet you, my path would be different and I am not sure I would be a leader that I am trying to be and set the example for the future of our children. Now that I am a father of two, I know that you will make your presence when the time comes in need and for all your dedication and effort you put forth, this will be passed down to my seeds.

Our Slice of the Pi
The four pillars that he introduced to me and 8 others were Academic Achievement, Cultural Awareness, Righteousness, and Friendship/Loyalty. He showed us these pillars which still stand strong and will never stop growing. We all live through you and hope that one day we will cross paths again in a new light.

Geography FAIL

Folks, I know that I'm not the best person to ask for geography but at least I know my 7 continents and majority of the countries out there but c'mon, are you kidding me.

wanna know who built your Iphone?

Gizmodo recently did a post on the Iphone Factory Girl, somehow someone opened their iphone and found this image on their home screen.

Busted Mr. Steve Jobs. Makes me wonder if he's running a sweat shop factories around the world? hmmm....

The famous swedish artist Hemmendorff created a sculpture of the Nike Air Max 90 so his team decided to do it this way.

I must say they got good taste in sweden along with ABBA and IKEA.

Unleash your inner Hof!

I was just talking to my colleague who gave me an idea about having a GPS but endorse famous people or characters from movies like C3PO who would be the voice of your GPS (great idea right?!?) well I did some research and look what I just found!!!!

I can't believe it!! Our idea just got crushed & destroyed from Kit from Knight Rider and a horrible image of David Hasselhoff in Baywatch.

Mio just teamed up last month with Universal Studios to come up with the Knight Rider GPS

Now I'm left with this.

Unique Chic - meet Stratton

I have spoken to Stratton Bouloukos for close to a year and we recently somehow met on Linkedin and met at the Tribeca Grand for one of my gatherings and told me about his passion of his designs and seeking for an investor.

Looks like he has finally posted his masterpieces on his website which I suggested him doing so the public can see a hint of his talent. His work reminds me of the Audrey Hepburn but yet modern touch of simplicity in his work. He has been spent the last 15 years designing clothes and his work has been in Henri Bendel, Barneys, Sotheby’s, and others. You can see his work if you make an appointment in his showroom in Manhattan.

Feel free to take a look at some of my favorite pieces.
Stratton, I hope things are well...

The Blueprint 3

As you probably all know last week on On August 11, 2008, the official first single "Jockin' Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)" was leaked onto the web.

Rumors say that the Roc is not done yet and may go on to have his final album with Def Jam before he moves to Live Nation.

Kanye West and Timbaland are producers if this album does prevail, we'll just have to wait and see.

Fastest man in the world

Besides spending some quality time with my boys this summer, been trying to follow the Olympics and have always enjoyed watching the track and field races.

The adrenaline that goes when you are in a race, its almost like you have to psych your self out just like someone is chasing you with an axe. I feel these athletes that I have been watching are the best of the best and here is a view of the 100 Meter Men's finals.

20 years old Usain Bolt from Jamaica dusted past the competition setting a new world record.

Watch it tonight, NBC 7:30pm - 10pm
Track and Field 100m Finals!

1. Usain Bolt - Jamaica
2. Richard Thompson - Trinidad
3. Walter Dix - USA

Just what the Doctor ordered

Darren Romanelli aka DRx has been recently one of my favorite designers to see up and coming in the industry

The LA-based fashion designer/artist presented his adhesive bandage concept shoe illustrating the idea of protection and “symbolizing hope for a cure.”On display at M+B Gallery in West Hollywood were the first 50 original designs for the Converse 1HUND(RED) program, a collection of 100 sneakers from 100 artists, musicians and designers.

After collaborating with the likes of Nike, Michael Jordan, Soph, and Jaegger Le-Coultre, Andrew Brandou, Dr Romanelli recently did a collabo with Looney Tunes and this is definitely one of my favorite pieces that I have in my office.
