MORE PHILLIE MADNESS!!!
Labels: Philadelphia Phillies
A Bronx Paradise

I ran into Codein yesterday on the street and he was telling me that he's been just on the grind to get his presence in the film industry and told me to check out this trailer which actually looked pretty interesting.
It's a sneek peek into Wayne Gurman's soon to be released autobiographical feature length film based on his award winning short "Bottom Feeder". Follow these gritty characters as they bull their way through the mean streets of the boogie down Bronx. Check out Bronx Paradise above. Codein is one of the actors on the blacktop.
For those trying to enter the film industry, I've found out that there are a lot of websites that can get you opportunities around NY.
Check out these sites:

is the advertising industry trending toward product placement anyway?
I thought this youtube video was actually interesting for all the musicians out there actually pretty interesting for where the guy says "I see this as taking the notes from a beatles melody and rearranging the notes and putting a new guitar effect on it and calling it a new song."
This actually raises some interesting issues relative to parallels in how traditional songs are valued from a publishing rights world view. What he's actually showing on the video is key from one bar and resolving in the way our heads expect it to resolve based on a chord progression we're familiar with. I mean am I the only one that sees this. I know that mash-ups have fallen since the Grey Album days, which held a lot of controversy with the record label EMI, copyright holder of The Beatles, ordered Danger Mouse and retailers carrying the album to cease distribution.
The question I'm asking you is, how far from the original can you take it?

Interesting to see Persepolis
Synopsis: Persepolis is the poignant story of a young girl in Iran during the Islamic Revolution. It is through the eyes of precocious and outspoken nine year old Marjane that we see a people's hopes dashed as fundamentalists take power
- forcing the veil on women and imprisoning thousands. Clever and fearless, she outsmarts the "social guardians" and discovers punk, ABBA and Iron Maiden. Yet when her uncle is senselessly executed and as bombs fall around Tehran in the Iran/Iraq war, the daily fear that permeates life in Iran is palpable.

P diddy buys ENYCE
Remember this video folks? This was a while back when Diddy was letting lose on camera and shooting a viral video for one of his tracks.
After seeing Diddy going viral on his own videos due to our economy recession, I guess it did pay off saving funds on video production, lighting, props, and etc. Putting it towards buying Enyce from Liz Claiborne for 20 Million USD. Liz Claiborne had bought the brand in 2003 for 114 Million USD.
It will be interesting seeing how the brand changes or evolves since he will take over.

Which vaccines should I give my children?
I had to throw this one out there folks since I am a father of two and wanted to just educate those parents out there that are confused of which vaccines to give for their children. You may want to watch this video and also do some research on your own. You can start by checking out The National Vaccine Information Center.
Part 1
Gary Null at the NJ Coalition for Vaccination Choice calls out New Jersey's Governor John Corzine from the State Capital Building in Trenton last week.
Demanding that the voice of countless children, hurt by vaccines, be heard. Gary courageously speaks out about greed and complacency of our politicians on mandatory vaccinations, and demands they act for the defense of our children who are subjected to harmful biological toxins in unproven vaccines.

New Apple Mac book preview tomorrow

I thought this ad was brilliant by Apple and since I'm surrounded by mostly MAC users, I am now considering on crossing over along with thinking about new ideas for our company Red Stage Networks, building a brand is vital from the beginning starting with the logo, tagline, phrase, website, and etc. You have to present the consumer/client with something for them to remember. With so much saturation on the web, the niche of your service/product must be visceral to the people.
Sorry to go off on a tangent but I tend to do that if you get to know me.
Anyways, I have been a windows user for most of my life and has been great but now that I have purchased an Iphone my time has come to look on to the other side.
So apparently tomorrow Apple will have a Apple product presentation of the new Mac Book Pro.
We will find out the prices tomorrow apparently so hopefully they will have some prices that are affordable. We shall see.

The Million Dollar Homepage

Don't know if you recognize this image but this is the The Million Dollar Homepage website which was conceived by Alex Tew, a then 21-year-old student from Cricklade, Wiltshire, UK. He became a millionaire in approximately 6 months.
He had to figure out a way to raise funds for his university education, so he launched the website on August 26, 2005, the website is said to have generated a gross income of $1,037,100 USD and has a current Google PageRank of 4a. The site's Alexa ranking as of 2008-05-08 is 50,101, having peaked at around 127.[1]
The index page of the site consists of a 1000×1000 pixel grid (one million pixels), on which image-based links were sold for US $1 per pixel, in minimum ten by ten blocks. The purchasers of these pixel blocks provided tiny images to be displayed on them, a URL to which they were linked, and a slogan displayed when hovering the cursor over the link. The aim of the site was to sell all of the pixels in the image, thus generating one million dollars of income for the creator.
On January 1, 2006, the final 1,000 pixels left were put up for auction on eBay.[2] The auction closed on January 11 with a winning bid of $38,100.00, bringing the final tally to $1,037,100 USD in gross income.
See the ranking for yourself if you want on Alexa.
Just shows that anything is possible on the web for you entrepreneurs out there.

Volvo Ocean Race
On October 4th 2008, the Volvo Ocean Race will start off again in Alicante, Spain. Volvo, head sponsor of the global sailing event, which just launched RUSH. Its a pretty neat interactive film game to promote the event and offcourse some of their Ocean Race car models that you can see.
The game is based around a rescue team that picks up a message and needs to get organised. In a 4 screen video interface you need to give the right directions to help out the team. It is a realistic adventure, which is easy to play and keeps you entertained all the way through.
It might take a while to load, but it's definitely worth the waiting, so check it out if you get a chance.

BUCKSHOT Released From The Hospital
Bucktown, NY- October 2nd-2008
After spending 8 days hospitalized in intensive care, the legendary MC, Buckshot, has been released from the hospital, and is now resting at his home in Brooklyn, NY. Upon returning from a 3 week European Tour last week, the Black Moon and Boot Camp Clik frontman suffered a series of seizures. While it's still unclear what caused the seizures, Doctors believe that Buckshot was physically drained and became severely dehydrated to the extent that caused his body to shut down and suffer 9 seizures in less than 1 day. Buckshot was in good spirits today as he left the hospital, and is looking forward to his next endeavors as he prepares to finish his group project with KRS-ONE, begin work on his third album with super-producer 9th Wonder, as well as a 4th studio album from BLACK MOON (DJ EVIL DEE and 5FT).
In a statement this morning, Buckshot said "I want to thank all the fans who called and wrote emails extending their well wishes and prayers. All the support helped me recover that much quicker."
