Ricky Powell "Illy Funksters" at Milk Gallery

Ricky Powell has a dope show at Milk Gallery so if you're in town I suggest you popping through.

So who is this man if you may ask?



For over 20 years he has hit the streets of NYC, toured the world with hip hop's biggest acts from the Beastie Boys to RUN DMC, and party crashed celebrity-studded parties on both the East and West coast.

Equipped with his weapon "his camera", Powell made his way to the center of the scene with no shame. "It's for public access," which could be heard whenever he had to interview someone for his own cult cable TV show, "Rappin' with the Rickster."

Powell knows access is everything, and most of the time it delivered. Through his photographs, Powell presents musicians, artists, actors, & performers, that inspired him to who he is today.
